My wife has decided to sell her 2002 Volkswagen GTI. This car has very low miles for the year and is very, very clean as you can see by the photos. The car is all stock and unmolested. The cream leather interior has no rips and is untorn. I could go on and on about what works (eg: sunroof does not leak, head liner is intack and not falling anywhere, nonsmoking owner) but all I can say bad about the car is, it's missing one radio button (fader), headlights are starting to cloud and a few small scratchs by the passanger rear quarter which are hardly noticable but I included a picture. This car is being sold as is where is with absolutely no warranty in non-running condition. The car is located in Auburn, WA 98001.  To comply with Ebay regulations this car must be towed on a flatbed. I will assist the buyer with shipping if needed, however all the details must be set up by the buyer. Everything pictured is what the car will come with. I have nothing else. The car stopped running about a year ago. I'm not sure what is wrong with it but it just made a clicking noise. I didn't have the cash to fix it at the time and had another vehicle so I started to sell parts off the car to a few friends. The car has been under a car cover the entire time.  The front body parts as you can tell from the picture are all gone. The interior has been partially disassembled and a hand full of parts are gone. The suspension has not been touched. The engine is still in tact however a few accessories have been taken such as the starter and alternator. The 5 speed manual trans has not been touched. The turbo and full exhaust is still on the car. I have taken all the parts that have been sold off the car personally and have not done anything to damage the structural integrity of the car or its wiring systems. I didn't cut any wires or break any component to get another part off. The car still has a lot of parts to offer and is structurally solid for a project. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. If you would like to look at the car before bidding I will work my best to arrange it, However I am incredibly busy with work. The title is clean and in my name. I can't remember the exact mileage on the car. I think it is 176000 but I'm not 100% sure. Th car is the Wolfsburg edition so it has the Audi style rally steering wheel, heated seats, and bbs wheels. The airbags have NOT been deployed. Up for sale is my 1998 Ginster (Yellow) 5 Speed Manual GTI
VR6 this was a one owner car for 13 years. I can honestly say that this is
probably one of the cleanest, well kept MKIII GTIs anywhere. This is the last
year of this model run, and it’s the best year to get, as all the kinks from the 95-97
models were worked out, and you get the 1997 Drivers edition steering wheel
with red stitching, 7 spoke wheels etc. The color it self is very rare and hard
to find.  I have been a fan of the MKIII
ever since that shape came out, and have been looking for clean one for a long
time before I found this one. Unlike many MKIII GTIs this one is NOT rotted out,
or beat on.  It was garage kept of most
of it’s life and it shows. It only has a hand full of tasteful modifications,
listed below that adds to the driving experience.  The car runs and drives great; I use it as my
daily driver 25 mile commute without any issues.  I’m only selling due to fact it’s getting
hard to get the baby car seat in and out of the back with only 2 doors, a sedan
would make life a lot easier. To quote the 1^st owner who I got the
car from “I have taken pride in maintaining and detailing the car and it has a
unique history. While living in Munich, Germany
I drove this car on the Autobahn and throughout Europe.
(This is a U.S.
spec car.) The European Rear Fog Light and Front Parking Lamps were installed
in Germany.” I
have the maintenance records and I am including additional equipment I
purchased over the years.  It is really a
fun, great handling quick car.

Engine: runs great with no leaks, smoke or noises

Transmission: Shifts fine in all gears including reverse

Clutch: grabs fine and does not slip at all

Brakes: Brembo rotors with Hawk HPS brake pads, good life
left on pads and rotors

Tires: Bridgestone Potenza G009 Tires with even Wear and
Plenty of Tread Depth

Current Condition – Cons:
 
• ABS Light On- due to module that needs to be repaired common issue with ABS
equipped cars.  This can be rebuilt for
about $80
• Check Engine Light On- Due to secondary air pump insufficient flow. Most
likely a cracked vacuum hose or solenoid $30 fix.  The pump itself is fine, so it’s either the
solenoid or the hose, both are very cheap and easy to fix. Very common VW problem,
even with the newer models.

fob for remote entry.

Here is a link to the Oil change and Maintenance log. As you can see the car has a outstanding service history. An oil analysis was done at Blackstone Labs years ago and everything came back better than average.
